Is Fasting Ok To Do?

So for all those out there that think fasting is the next best thing, we are going to agree to disagree. If you have thyroid disease, your body is in a stressed state.

At this point a person with a thyroid disease is experiencing many issues like up and down hormones, liver issues, adrenal fatigue.

The last thing the liver needs is to starve it from getting glucose ,which you get from your food. Without the liver having the proper amount of glucose there will be no T4 to free T3 conversion.

Your adrenals also don’t need you going without food for hours upon hours and when you do eat, raise your blood sugar. This happens because your body wasn’t getting the proper amount of sugar it needed.

All of these things will effect your thyroid hormones and worsen symptoms overtime. Fasting does put your body in a stressed state. So if you are already in a stressed from having a health condition, this is not a very good idea.

Still stuck? Submit you question.
