Diets are a one size fits all solution. When you have thyroid disease there is no size fits all solution. Each of our bodies are different so they need to be treated that way.
When you follow a strict diet you may not be giving your body what it needs. It is more important to pay attention to food sensitivities and meet all your vitamin and nutrient requirements than to follow a certain diet.
Of course there are foods you can avoid while healing to see if it helps your situation (gluten, soy, dairy, processed sugar, alcohol) but even that is still depending on the person.
So I would say there is no one size fits all diet for healing. It depends on what your body is needing.
